From a kiln in Salem to three countries
Ankit's family began manufacturing and trading calcined and dead burnt magnesite in Salem, Tamil Nadu, in 1990. Today the group's mining and kiln operations supply refractory, steel, cement and agriculture customers across India.
The group grew beyond minerals into contract manufacturing for ITC Mangaldeep in Salem and Guwahati, and into food processing, with rice processing plants in Darbhanga in Bihar and Nagaon in Assam.
Ankit brought the business to the UAE to connect the group's production in India with buyers across the Gulf, Africa and Asia. Naira, based in the Sharjah free zone, is the trading company that makes those connections, supported by the group's office in Hong Kong.
